Social workers play an important role in the health of under-served communities. They connect patients to affordable providers, clinics, and resources to ensure they have continuity of care. Yet, in the St. Louis metropolitan area hospitals and emergency departments, most physicians don't have immediate access to a social worker to provide accurate resources for those in need of them. We want to support the role of social workers and believe that physicians should have access to these resources at their finger tips, helping their under-insured patients get the long-term healthcare at clinics which cater to them.
